World Water Day 2025 – Celebrating our ongoing collaboration with Made Blue
This year’s United Nations World Water Day theme is ‘Glacier Preservation’. Glaciers are melting at an alarming rate due to climate change, threatening clean water access for millions of people. As glaciers shrink, they disrupt ecosystems, contribute to rising sea levels, and increase the risk of natural disasters.
By taking action to preserve glaciers, we protect vital water sources, strengthen climate resilience, and safeguard the future of our planet. Through our partnership with Made Blue, we remain committed to positive impact—delivering sustainable solutions and expanding clean water access where it’s needed most.

How can we reduce our water wastage?
Glacial melt is not the only cause of water scarcity – it’s a global issue impacted by many everyday activities which waste water. From outdated plumbing to inefficient water use, waste happens in ways we often overlook. One example is in workplaces, where a typical office with 50 employees can waste up to 1,500 litres of water per day simply by running taps to achieve cold water.
A Borg & Overström dispenser or tap provides instant access to perfectly chilled water, eliminating the need to run taps unnecessarily. This ensures both convenience and a more sustainable approach to water consumption.

We are proud to announce that through our continued collaboration with Made Blue and our Made Blue distributors we have managed to provide 20 million litres! of clean drinking water to those in need to date.
