If you’re anything like myself, you probably thought the exact same question as me when I first heard the term ‘Alarmed Waste Kit’ – “What on earth is an ‘Alarmed’ Waste Kit?”

Well, on the surface, an Alarmed Waste Kit helps maintain the freshness of your drinking water system. With a deeper understanding, however, an Alarmed Waste Kit has the potential to save you time and resources when it comes to the maintenance of your water refreshment solution.

Here at Borg & Overström, we have 20 years of first hand experience on the value an Alarmed Waste Kit can provide. As design-led manufacturers of premium water solutions, we are constantly asked questions about all the problems that can occur in any and every water refreshment system found under the sun. As such, we have made it our goal to make your life easier by providing innovative and enhanced drinking water solutions by integrating state-of-the-art technology – enter the Bluetooth® Alarmed Waste Kit.

In this article, we’ll break down what an Alarmed Waste Kit is, how it works, how much it might cost, and take a look at the benefits you could have by adding the Bluetooth® feature. By the end, you will have a better understanding on whether an Alarmed Waste Kit, or Bluetooth® Alarmed Waste Kit, is the right choice for you.

What is an Alarmed Waste Kit?

The short answer: With a quick and easy installation, an Alarmed Waste Kit enables the safe collection of any excess or overflow of waste water.

The long answer: The Alarmed Waste Kit is a Borg and Overström custom product that provides a vessel for waste water that would otherwise accumulate in the drip tray. This means no mains waste connection is required and allows for longer periods of time before the usual drip tray needs emptying – a much needed feature for water refreshments found in high traffic environments.

By all accounts, the Alarmed Waste Kit is a practical product, designed specifically to prevent the accumulation of waste water to keep your water system fresh.

How does an Alarmed Waste Kit work?

Integrated in the design is a sensor level. This sensor will detect and audibly alert you whenever the waste water level reaches a point that is too high – a clear indication that the correlating maintenance is required and the waste tank needs emptying.

Once triggered, the alarm will audibly beep every second, for 30 seconds. Following this, there is a brief pause for 5 minutes, and then this process will repeat.

Don’t worry! Although the alarm is audibly distinguishable, it would not rival the sound of a fire alarm – it’s not that overpowering!

What is a Bluetooth® Alarmed Waste Kit?

So, what is the difference between an Alarmed Waste Kit and a Bluetooth® Alarmed Waste Kit?

Well, unsurprisingly, one has Bluetooth!

What is surprising, however, is all the added features you gain by adding Bluetooth®.

While both alarm kits operate similarly, with the integrated level sensor will detect when the waste water level is too high and emit an audible alert, the Bluetooth functionality goes beyond simply alerting you to the problem.

When using the Bluetooth® functionality, the Alarm Waste Kit will not only emit an audible alarm to alert you to the needed maintenance, but the Bluetooth® function will also deactivate the control panel and dispensing functionality, preventing the tank from overflowing.

Key Features and benefits of a Bluetooth® Waste Alarm Kit

Here you can find a clear outline of the features and benefits that a Bluetooth® Alarm Waste Kit will provide:

Benefits
