Borg & Overström: A 2022 Year in Review
It’s been a very busy year for Borg & Overström, seeing significant growth and development against a sometimes uncertain economic and global backdrop. 2022 saw the launch of new and revolutionary designs, including the debut of our first ever drinking water hot tap – the T3 – and our first nearshore manufactured B6 water dispenser, marking an important milestone in the future of water dispensing technology.

Making Sustainable Steps
Taking steps to become ever more sustainable, 2022 saw the introduction of our first nearshore manufacturing.
Made in the UK and stamped with the Maktens Borg mark of assurance – indicating improved traceability, lower carbon footprint, and complete IP ownership – our latest B6 water dispensers and T3 taps demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility and supply chain reliability.
Continuing our efforts to be proactive in maintaining our environmentally friendly business model, this year we partnered with EcoVadis: the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Overjoyed to achieve a silver sustainability rating award – 2023 will see us striving for gold!
Turning On the Tap
Driven by a change in consumer habits, 2022 saw the dawn of the tap for Borg & Overström with the advance of the T-series digital drinking water taps. The inaugural T1 and T2 tap systems, launched at the start of the year, followed by our very first hot tap making its much anticipated debut in the autumn.
The T-series digital tap range introduced the latest in advanced compressor technology with our new ProCore® – an eco-friendly compact compressor, designed and manufactured in the UK. Paired with our hygiene-assured Totality® and PVD finishing – a process of surface modification that enhances durability, functionality, and aesthetics – our taps offer the premium level of quality and design that we pride ourselves on.
Designing for Mental Health
We were thrilled to attend the Design in Mental Health conference this year, debuting our new ligature resistant drinking water tap – the Porpoise.
Designed as an answer to the continuing concerns found in modern mental health, custodial, and vandalism-prone environments, the Porpoise is set to make its official splash in 2023 as the shallowest surface-mounted ligature resistant drinking water tap in the world.
