Borg & Overstrom brings a new take on sustainable drinking water to the Workspace Design Show 2024

The final days of February saw the great and good of workplace design head to the popular Workspace Design Show at the Business Design Centre in London. Set across three floors, the event welcomed professionals from the corporate design sector, including architects, interiors designers and facilities teams, providing inspiration and conversation for today’s workspace challenges.

The packed agenda saw insight and discussions centred around everything from the future of the workplace to sustainability and wellbeing and the hotelification of the office. Everything from hybrid working patterns to ways to reduce energy consumption were topics of conversation and we had some great conversations on the Borg & Overström stand.

Standing out from the crowd; sustainability, SensorBeam® and Scandanavian design.

The simplicity of Borg & Overströms‘ Scandanavian desired designs and quality finishes ticked all the right boxes for the detail orientated attendees. Pleasantly surprised to find out Borg & Overström water dispensers are nearshore manufactured in the UK, impressed from a sustainability standpoint, while EcoMode energy-saving technology was seen to be a huge benefit for today’s hybrid working patterns.

The venue was bustling and the word that Borg & Overström were handing out luxurious glass water bottles full of free, chilled, freshly-filtered water, quickly went round with thirsty visitors looking to hydrate sustainably without purchasing a single-use plastic bottle.

Once on stand, there was a queue to experience the luxury Corian® topped E7 tap dispenser with SensorBeam® touch-less technology, as users filled and refilled their bottles, taking delight in the design and magical user experience of SensorBeam®.

Passersby were caught off guard by our virtual showroom, enjoying the interactions with the Borg & Overström team around the world, gaining understanding of how a virtual showroom interaction can benefit their clients and projects by showcasing potential products without the need for travel.

From the energy in the room, to the depths of conversations, the Workspace Design Show event was a real success. Working pods and modular spaces were at the forefront of design trends with Mute Labs showcasing simplicity and Creo Concepts and Kabin displaying elegant modular solutions. Materials made from flax and sustainable sources, providing acoustic benefits were popular whilst water remained an essential part of fit out specifications with WELL Building Standard certification being a hot topic as designers and architects look to our people’s health and wellness at the centre of their designs.
