Smart water technology.

Another drinking water trend is, integration of technology in water dispensers, filtration systems, and bottles to track hydration levels, customise water preferences, and provide real-time data on water consumption, such as Larq water.

At Borg & Overström we’re constantly innovating and some of our smart water technology includes:

Award winning SensorBeam® – hygienic, touch-free dispense. Using patented, advanced projection mapping technology to illuminate dispense controls onto any floor surface.

Measured dispense – time saving and efficient way of programming of a water dispenser so that a controlled volume of water can be poured with both precision and accuracy.

ProCore® – water processing unit powering our integrated tap systems and water dispensers. Includes DryChill®, Totality® and Eco mode.

Rise in sparkling water

Premium, sparkling water provides an added fizz and texture that is absent in regular still or flat water, adding a touch of luxury.

It has a carbonated taste which can be a very refreshing and enjoyable experience, an example of which is San Pellegrino.

Additionally, opting for sparkling water can be a way to satisfy soda cravings, as it shares a similar flavour profile without the inclusion of unhealthy ingredients.

*Key insight advises that globally, sparkling water is set to grow from USD 38.13 billion in 2023 to USD 85.69 billion by 2030, with a CAGR of 12.26% during the forecast period.

At Borg & Overström demand for sparkling water dispensers and taps have grown across our range over the past five years, from 26% in 2019, to 42% in 2023, again highlighting this growing trend.

Sustainably sourced water.

Increasing emphasis on eco-friendly packaging for bottled water, such as biodegradable materials, recycled plastics, or reusable containers, as part of the global push for sustainability.

Sustainably conscious water brands include Cano Water and Boxed Water is better

However, at Borg & Overström we can go one step further. We provide locally sourced and sustainable drinking water solutions, eliminating the reliance on single-use plastic bottles.

We embrace a refillable culture and our point of use bottle-less water dispensers offer freshly filtered, premium drinking water.

Innovative filtration systems

Advancements in water filtration technologies to remove impurities, contaminants, and enhance the taste of water, contributing to the overall quality of drinking water.

At Borg & Overström our easy-fit, replaceable, carbon filters are powered by 3M Aqua-Pure technology.

Reducing the sediment and bacteria which can be found in tap water, the high absorption carbon helps to eliminate any odours or taste of chlorine, ensuring clean tasting water in every pour.

Harmful microplastics are present in 72% of tap water in the UK.

By utilising active carbon 0.5 micron filtration, any unwanted plastic particles will be removed, leaving only great-tasting, healthier water that is safe to drink.
