Can I still get spare parts for a discontinued model?

Borg & Overström boasts an extensive library of parts and accessories for our premium products. A water dispenser of ours may be easy to install, maintain, and operate, but it would be remiss of us not to provide you with this guide to replacing your Borg & Overström water system with the parts and accessories that enhance the user experience.

In this article, we have answered your most asked questions. 

Providing you with a comprehensive overview, we cover everything you’ll need to know about replacing any spare parts or accessory.

But before we get into the details, remember that we at Borg & Overström do not sell machines or parts directly to the end-user, but always through our distributors.

What are the differences between watercooler parts and accessories?

In our dealings with customers, we’ve found these two words are frequently used interchangeably. Clarity of language is very important for us to meet your needs, so here’s a quick definition:

A part comprises what you need to use, maintain and operate your machine. These include:

  • Tubing
  • Power cables
  • PCBs
  • Solenoids

A purposed parts list comes with every installation, and the operation manual includes a definitive list of spare and optional parts. You may wish to get our extended warranty if you want guaranteed coverage for parts.

An accessory is an enhancement you can install for a better experience. Some of these, such as ultraviolet water treatment, will need to be specified at the point of purchase. Others, like spill mats, branded bottles, paper cups or drip trays can be acquired any time post purchase.

I have an old model water dispenser with a broken part – do you still have replacements?

We have a considerable stock of spare parts and host a 3 year policy for discontinued models. This policy states that for discontinued models, parts and accessories will remain in our inventory for up to three years after the model is removed from production.

Please note: orders made in the last 12 months of this 36 month period will be completed on a source to order basis. See our parts policy for all the details, including the discontinuation dates of specific spare parts.

These are all saleable items. If you wish to purchase or replace any – you can. Borg & Overström actively prioritise preserving our inventory of parts which are vulnerable to breakdown, or are smaller and likely to get lost if detached.
